Former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Wednesday emerged as the governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) in Anambra.
The primary held at the Prof. Dora Akunyily Women Development Centre, Awka.
Soludo polled 740 votes to defeat three other aspirants, Okwudili Ezenwanko who scored 41 votes, Damian Okolo seven votes and Ibe Kenechukwku Christopher, four votes
The APGA Returning Officer, and NationalVice Chairman of the party (South West) Deacon Samson Olalere while declaring the results said a total of 812 delegates were billed to participate in the election but 795 votes were accredited.
With this result, Soludo will be the candidate of the November 6 governorship election for the party.
