Company drivers arraigned over alleged diesel, petrol theft

 

Three company drivers: Muideen Oladokun, 41, Najeem Adedeji, 35, and Kehinde Tijani, 65, were on Friday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan over an alleged diesel and petrol theft.

The three working with Krishat Pharma company, Oluyole, Ibadan, were charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro said the defendants committed the offences between December 2025 and July 2026 at the aforementioned company.

He alleged that the defendants stole 1,350 liters of diesel worth N2,160,000, and 566 liters of petrol worth N734,600, all of which belonged to the company.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi granted the defendants bail in the sum of N1 million each and two sureties each in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Sept. 9, for hearing.
