The controversial cross-dresser, Nigerian Current learnt, is now in the net of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over allegation of currency abuse.
EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewole, confirmed that the controversial cross-dresser has been in the custody of the anti-graft agency since yesterday over offence having to do with mutilation of Nigeria’s currency.
Bob Risky was arrested on Wednesday, 3 April, 2024 and is being detained at the Lagos office of the EFCC.
The cross-dresser who has been attracting fame over the years ballooned into the world of infamy recently with the winning of an award meant for the best dressed lady, a decision that drew the ire of many Nigerians who questioned the erroneous choice of a male to win an award meant for ladies.
The controversy snowballed into a rife brush between Bob risky and popular pop musician, Habeeb Okikiola (Portable), who came out with a hit single to lampoon the Nigerian cross-dresser on the heels of an initial verbal crossfire..
Meanwhile, EFCC’s Oyewale said that Bob Risky will be charged to court soon.
