Fayose’s Man, Bisi Kolawole Emerges PDP Governorship Candidate in Ekiti

Former chairman of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ekiti state, Bisi Kolawole has been declared winner of the governorship primary in Ekiti state. The primary election held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Kolawole, who is an anointed candidate of the former Governor Fayose, was declared the winner by the chairman, electoral committee of the party, Governor UdoM Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State. He said Kolawole won having scored the highest number of votes cast.

According to Governor Emmanuel, Kolawole scored a total of 671 votes to defeat other aspirants.

Kolawole, edged out Segun Oni, an ex-governor of the states, and Kolapo Olusola, a former deputy governor of the state.

Other aspirants who contested the primary were Senator Biodun Olujimi, Yinka Akerele, Deji Ogunsakin, Lateef Ajijola, Wale Aribisala, Ayodeji Kazeem, Kayode Adaramodu and Wale Aribisala.

With this result, Kolawole will fly the flag of the party in the June 18 governorship election in the state.
