President of Chad, Idriss Deby is dead.
He was reported to have died on Tuesday, a day after he won re-election for a sixth term in office.
His death was confirmed in a statement from the Chadian national army on Tuesday.

The army spokesman, General Azem Bermandoa, confirmed said the late leader “has just breathed his last defending the sovereign nation on the battlefield”
Deby, 68, was one of the longest-serving presidents of the Central African Country, having stayed in office for about 30 years.
He came to power in 1990 and won a sixth term in a controversial poll boycotted by most opposition figures on Monday.
