Goge Africa said it is unveiling a new platform aimed at promoting Africa’s cultural heritage as not just history, but a dynamic driver of modern diplomacy, regional integration, and economic prosperity.
The announcement was made in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.
The statement noted that the initiative, the Goge Africa Cultural Dialogue and Diplomacy Series, would bring together policymakers, cultural icons, business leaders, academics, and creatives.
It said the dialogue would explore how Africa’s cultural assets could be harnessed to generate economic value and strengthen the continent’s global influence.
The statement said the inaugural edition was organised in partnership with the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) and the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilisation (CBAAC).
It said the first edition would be held under the theme, ‘Eyo, Culture and Soft Power: Driving Diplomacy, Integration and Economic Growth.’
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Goge Africa, Isaac Moses, said the initiative marked a shift from documenting African culture to creating a platform that connected cultural wealth with economic opportunities.
He said culture was Africa’s ultimate superpower because it helped Africans tell their stories, shape their identity, and command global attention.
Moses added that the dialogue was not just about looking back at where Africans came from, but also about looking forward.
He said they were positioning their heritage as a catalyst for real investment, fresh innovation, and cross-border collaboration.
The statement added that the event would also provide opportunities for networking, partnerships, and policy conversations at a time when the creative industries and heritage tourism were becoming increasingly important drivers of global economic growth.
It added that the support of the NIIA and CBAAC was expected to help translate the discussions into future policy and development initiatives..
