“It’s been God all the way. We don’t do things the way everyone else does. Our team works together seamlessly, and we focus on leaving what’s beyond us for God to handle," Olanubi said.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary and leverage its dominance of the Nigerian landscape, DottsMediaHouse (DMH) is scaling up its business across Francophone Africa and into the Middle East.

DottsMediaHouse founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tiwalola Olanubi, who disclosed this during a parley with the media on Monday themed “A Decade of Dotts”, said it had been 10 years of “innovation, creativity and excellence.”

He explained that the firm had seen “tremendous potential” in the Francophone region, adding that the expansion into Côte d’Ivoire ahead of other parts of other countries in the region, would allow DMH to deploy its cutting-edge skilled media and marketing services expertise to clients in Francophone West Africa.

Such expertise and innovativeness led DottsMediaHouse in 2019 to produce a first-of-its-kind Nigeria Influencer Marketing Report (NIMR) to critical acclaim. The next year, multiple award-winning Olanubi was named CEO of the Year at the prestigious BrandCOM Awards, while the firm also shined at the Pitchers Awards 2022.

Olanubi, 36, said the firm’s debut from a startup in 2014, to perhaps Africa’s leading media group – driving exceptional and transformational client results across African markets – had been nothing short of phenomenal.

He credited the Divine, strategic mentorships, and a team that prioritised a culture of doing things differently, among other things, for this success.

“It’s been God all the way,” he said.

“We don’t do things the way everyone else does. Our team works together seamlessly, and we focus on leaving what’s beyond us for God to handle,” the CEO said.

Next on the company’s sights, he added, is the Middle East, especially markets in Dubai and Qatar and Olanubi is optimistic of the firm’s success in this move.

If all goes to plan, this will make DottsMediaHouse part of a small, elite Nigerian group of firms with a firm transcontinental foothold.

But charity begins at home and Olanubi affirmed DottsMediaHouse’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

“We are planning a major CSR initiative to celebrate this milestone and are excited about partnerships that will focus on more than just business,” he said.

Responding to a question from journalists at the parley, Olanubi noted the challenging economy and urged the Nigerian government to implement policies that’ll boost businesses.

Bright Esagboje, Business Lead at Dotts Media, shed light on the CSR plan.

Esagboje said: “We’ve changed the narrative and are proud to have set the pace in recognizing and rewarding influencers and content creators.

“By next year, we’ll be launching an academy. The academy is just to ensure that the next generation has capable hands to teach them everything that has to do with media. It could be social media management, public relations, or basically anything to do with media.

“We want the society to anticipate it, especially undergraduates, they’re going to be our focus and also professionals who want to just want to get better in their craft.”
