Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, has felicitated with former Vice President of Nigeria, Namadi Sambo, on his 70th birthday anniversary.
Mutfwang, in a congratulatory message by Mr Gyang Bere, his Director of Press and Public Affairs, issued on Monday in Jos, described Sambo as an astute and accomplished politician.
The governor noted that the former vice president had contributed immensely toward the growth and development of the nation.
“He embodies humility, selflessness and dedication to excellent public service. On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Plateau, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the former vice president on his 70th birthday anniversary. I wish him love, laughter, and cherished memories, alongside good health, wisdom, and fulfilment,” Bere quoted the governor.
Mutfwang called on Sambo to continue to share his wealth of knowledge with the current leaders through advocacy for peace and unity in the country.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sambo, a one-time governor of Kaduna State, served as vice president under the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
