Gunmen have ambushed the convoy of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 12, Audu Madaki, injuring him and killing one of his escorts.
This happened on Tuesday around 2:30 pm between Barde and Jagindi in Kaduna State. He was travelling to Abuja from Bauchi.
The AIG is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital while details are still sketchy on who or what the motives of the attackers are.
