Former Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Professor Lateef Akanni Hussein, is dead.

He died on Sunday at 75.

A tweet on the official handle of the institution (@LASUOfficial) on Monday, said the Professor of Physics died after a brief illness.

He was the sixth substantive vice chancellor of the institution between 2005 and 2011. Funeral arrangements are been expected.
