Nigeria Records 154 New Cases of COVID-19, One Death On Tuesday

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has announced 154 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Tuesday, further raising concerns about the presence of the third wave of the pandemic in Nigeria.

The agency in its daily update said the number of confirmed infections was recorded in nine states with, Lagos State topping the list with 119 , while Akwa Ibom followed with 11.

Other states are : River -6, Oyo-5, Ekiti-4, Ogun-4, FCT-2, Gombe-2, and Kwara -1.

With these new infections, the total confirmed cases in the country is now  168, 867 while 164, 623 have been discharged . The number of fatalities stands at 2,125.
