The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Ado has apologised to Nigeria over the demolition of the Nigerian High Commission building in Accra.
The president who apologised to Nigeria during a telephone chat with President Muhammadu Buhari, also said he had ordered an investigation into the incident.
A businessman, reportedly accompanied by armed policemen, invaded the Nigerian High Commission with bulldozers and destroyed structures under construction within the premises.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, had summoned the Ghanaian High Commissioner in Nigeria, Iva Denoo, over the demolition while the House of Representatives had called for a reprisal.
