A numbers of kind spirited individuals and members of online groups including RantHQ on Sunday raced down to House Eleven Hotel and Apartments, Ibadan, to save a 37-year-old man, David Oladayo Sanyaolu, from committing suicide.

Sanyaolu, who was ostensibly battling depression, took to his Facebook page to share his situations and his resolve to end it all in series of posts and video.

In one, the suicidal man hinted that his wife was cheating on him and his parents were not there for him, adding that he was a big letdown to his family including his daughter.

Sanyaolu, who was postings from a room at House Eleven Hotel, posted a video of him with bottles of sniper which he claimed he would use to kill himself with his first post reading, “At this point, I think it’s better to end it.”

The posts drew the attention of some of his Facebook friends who alerted the public to it, and in turn informed the hotel, prompting some kind hearted persons to rush down to the scene to rescue him and take him to the hospital.

“David Oladayo Sanyaolu has been found. Hotel management broke into the room. Took him to the admin office. Two bottles of sniper taken from him.
