Senate President, Bukola Saraki and House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Doraga, will today meet with principals officers of both chambers tomorrow with the intention of reconvening the National Assembly to consider pending important national matters including INECâs elections budget proposal.
It was gathered from National Assembly sources that the meeting will hold at noon.
The meeting, according to our sources, will be followed by another one between NASS leaders and the leadership of the electoral commission, with INEC chairman, Prof Mahmud Yakubu in attendance.
The move is coming following pressures from the presidency urging the leadership of the congress to recall lawmakers from recess to approve INECâs budget proposal and deal with other pending matters.
