Man docked for allegedly stealing two sewing machines valued N140,000

 A 20-year-old man, Hussaini Ya’u, was on Wednesday docked in a Kano Sharia Court for allegedly stealing two sewing machines and one lace textile material valued N140,000.

The defendant, who lives in Dorayi Quarters, Kano, is charged with theft.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecution counsel, Zahradeen Abubakar, told the court that the case was reported on June 2, at Gwale Police station by the complainant, Abubakar Mustapha, who resides in Dorayi Quarters.

Abubakar alleged that the defendant trespassed into the complainant’s shop and stole two sewing machines and lace textile material belonging to one of his customers all worth N140, 000.

The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N30, 000.

He adjourned the matter until July 15, for trial.
