Cristiano Ronaldo is set to continue his career in Saudi Arabia for another season, having renewed his contract with Al Nassr under financially advantageous terms.
The Portuguese superstar’s deal, reportedly worth €183 million, breaks down to approximately €15.25 million per month, €3.8 million per week, and €550,000 per day, keeping him at the pinnacle of football salaries worldwide.
In a bold gesture of appreciation, Al Nassr’s management has offered Ronaldo a five percent ownership stake in the club.
This historic move not only underscores the trust placed in the legendary forward but also signifies a long-term commitment to his role within the organisation.
The club is undergoing significant changes, including the appointment of a new CEO and president, amid efforts to enhance its competitive edge in the league.
Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has displayed unwavering dedication and leadership, treating the team as his own. His contributions have been recognized, leading to the offer of ownership — a first for Ronaldo in his illustrious career.
The club’s management is also focused on bolstering the squad to challenge for league titles, particularly with rising competition from teams like Al Hilal and Al Ittihad.
Ronaldo said, “It’s hard to compete with teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, but we are still there, still pushing and fighting. Football is like that; you have good moments and bad moments. But, for me, the most important thing is to be professional, to push hard, respect the club, respect your contract and believe that things will change – for Al Nassr to try to win more titles”.
Reports indicate that one or two key additions could be made during the winter transfer market, potentially including a reunion with Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.
The pair previously played together at Real Madrid and briefly at Manchester United.
