Serialdaboss1 Drops ‘Jakolo’ EP August 2

Fast-rising United States-based Nigerian Afropop artiste Ifeanyi Victor Afam, aka Serialdaboss1, is set to drop his highly anticipated project, the ‘Jakolo’ EP. Jakolo, a six-track EP with a unique blend of Afropop, Afropop and Amapiano vibes, will hit the airwaves on August 2.

Fast-rising United States-based Nigerian Afropop artiste Ifeanyi Victor Afam, aka Serialdaboss1, is set to drop his highly anticipated project, the ‘Jakolo’ EP.

Jakolo, a six-track EP with a unique blend of Afropop, Afropop and Amapiano vibes, will hit the airwaves on August 2.

The EP launch will be preceded by an album listening party in Lil’s Cocktail Lounge in Chicago on July 28.

Tracks on the EP include ‘Jakolo’, ‘Tell Me Something’ ft Bolojay, mix mastered by DJ Rymzy, ‘Don’t Play With My Money remix’ ft Terry Apala, mix mastered by DJ Rymzy, ‘Real Loving’, mix mastered by Smithbeat, ‘Way’, mix mastered by Smithbeat and ‘Give Me Some’ also mix mastered by ‘Smithbeat.

Serialdaboss1, who grew up on the streets of Lagos and Chicago, said the six songs respond to his fans’ yearning for fresh sounds with feel-good vibes.

Speaking from his Illinois base, he explained that the buzz surrounding this release had been building for months.

“Fans were eager to hear new music from me, so, This EP Is not just another project: It Is set to be a landmark in MY career, particularly because of the standout collaboration with the sensational Apala Disco artist, Super,” Serialdaboss1 said.

Super, fresh off high-profile collaborations with Wizkid and Seyi Vibez, is becoming a household name in Nigeria. His unique blend of traditional Apala rhythms with modern disco elements has captivated audiences worldwide. Now, teaming up with serialdaboss1, he brings his magic to one of the most anticipated tracks on the EP, ‘Don’t Play With My Money remix’.

Explaining the inspiration behind the EP, Serialdaboss1 said: “My music is a reflection of myself – the good and bad times, the pain, suffering I witnessed, the time my father wasn’t around to be there for me and my siblings, the streets and my friends who still live in the trenches, growing up on the streets of Nigeria.’

Nevertheless, he is not discouraged and urges his fans to stay positive, no matter the challenges life throws at them.

“The message I try to convey through my music is that my fans should never give up; change is on the way. Hard times don’t last, only tough people do,” Serialdaboss1 added.

The Jakolo EP will be streamed on all platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Music, Shazam, etc.
