Preparatory to expanding positive tentacles across Nigerian locations, Chicken Republic, a fledgling eatery concern, has opened a new outlet at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), Lagos.
The outlet located at the arrival hall of the Lagos entry point, has hit the ground and running impressively, hinging on consistency, quality offerings, and great services.
With the coming of Chicken Republic to the Lagos airport, traveller’s may be setting for a beef up in the area of comfort with the top-notch services the brand is offering to customers.
Director, of Mirror Foods, a Chicken Republic franchisee, Mr Jide Onalaja, who is also a promoter of the business, said that Chicken Republic is a known brand and one of the leaders in the industry.
He hinted that: “right now, it is the biggest food outlet in Nigeria.”
Onalaja disclosed that his company had received a concession from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), to set up similar outlets in all the airports in Nigeria, starting with Lagos.
He said, “It has about 300 outlets in Nigeria and in Ghana as well. It is the biggest brand that was established in Nigeria and has grown to that extent. They are working on setting up branches in Canada and UK as well. Chicken Republic originated from Lagos. The meals are affordable. We are rolling this out in all airports across Nigeria but we are starting with Lagos.”
“Whatever you get here is the same in any Chicken Republic. The standards are the same as those of the global standard. Instead of afresh with a new name, we went for a brand that is well known, that is affordable and accepted by the majority.”
Onalaja further explained that the notion to open the new branch came with the opening of the new terminal, so that it would augment the intention to upgrade facilities at the entry point.
“The idea is that in a place of receiving passengers, people come and receive people and they want to have a place to eat. It is basically to enhance and contribute to the ambience of this airport and to go with the brand that is well known, well accepted.”
