Funeral activities for the burial of Deaconess Esther Adewolu Adedowole, popularly known as (Mama Oni Koko (Cocoa), who died on May 21, 2023, will commence on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in Owo, Ondo State.
She died on May 21, 2023, at the age of 100.
The line of events for the funeral begins with Ajabue traditional dance around the town from her her residence at No. 6, Owadogbon Lane, off Adegbaye Street, Aralepo Quarters, Owo, Ondo State at 10 a. m.
On Friday, August 11, there will be a Christian Wake at the same address at 4pm, while the funeral service will hold on Friday, August 11, with a Christian Wake at the same address at 4pm.
The funeral service will then be held at 8 a.m on Saturday, August 12, at the same address, while interment will follow immediately at Opposite Mydas Event Centre, White House (Ibidapo Bassey), Ikare Road, Owo.
To round off the activities, Church outing and Thanksgiving Service will take place at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Irorun, Okedogbon, Owo, at 10. 00am same day. Reception will then be held at AUD Primary School, Owatowose Street, Owo, immediately after church service.
The late Adedowole was a Deaconess in Christ Apostolic Church, and the Iya Ijo of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke- Irorun, Okedogbon, Owo, Ondo State.
She is survived by her children, among whom are: Mr. Johnson Ayodle Adedowole, Engr Adetunji Michael Adedowole, Joseph Ademola Adedowole, Mrs Rachael Olanireti Ibrahim (nee Adedowole), Mrs. Susan Anike Ogunleye (nee Adedowole), grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
