President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred national honours on the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice president Kassim Shettima.
Tinubu was conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic(GCFR) while Shettima was honored with the Grand Commander of the Order of Nigeria (GCON)
The ceremony took place at the state house on Tuesday in Abuja
The event also marked the official handover of the transition of documents from Buhari to Tinubu.
Speaking at the event, Buhari said he is confident that Nigeria is in capable hands.
Tinubu will be inaugurated as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria on Monday, May 29.
