Plateau police command demand apology from APC campaign council

The Plateau State Police Command has debunked a recent statement reportedly issued by the Spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress ‘Generation Next Campaign Council’ Shittu Bamaiyi, where he claimed that the Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, CP Bartholomew Onyeka and other heads of security agencies reportedly showered accolades on the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nentawe Yilwatda.

In a statement signed by DSP Alfred Alabo, the Command Public Relations Officer on Friday, described the statement as false while demanding for an immediate withdrawal of the statement and an Apology to the Command from Bamaiyi and Group he represents.

The State Police Command while also describing the report as misleading said it is capable of stirring political rancor in the State.

According to the Spokesman of the Police, the CP did not at any time shower encomiums on anybody or any political party in the State.
