Commissioner abducted in Benue

Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Chief Ekpe Ogbu, has been kidnapped.

He was abducted at the notorious Adankari Junction along the Otukpo-Ado road around 9pm on Sunday.

The Hilux van in which he was traveling has been recovered by the Police in Otukpo. Ogbu is a former Chairman of Ado Local Government area of Benue south.


The Special Adviser on Security matters to Governor Samuel Ortom, Colonel Paul Hemba (rtd), has confirmed the abduction.

He said a search party has been raised to rescue him and arrest the abductors.
