The speaker of the house or representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, is scheduled to meet Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Tuesday.
The special adviser to the speaker, Lanre Lasisi made this known on Sunday.
According to the media aide, the leadership of the house and other stakeholders are expected to attend the meeting. The goal of the meeting is to find a solution to the industrial action that has stalled the academic activities for the past seven months.
The federal government had met with the leadership of the union several times but all the negotiations to resolve the crisis have failed so far.
As a result, the federal government dragged the union before the National Industrial court.
The hearing of the suit had been adjourned to September 19
