The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has resigned from the Senate.
Adamu became APC national chairman at the party’s convention held on March 26. Also, Abubakar Kyari, the current APC deputy chairman (north), has resigned his membership in the upper legislative chamber. Until his resignation, he represented Borno north.
Their resignations were stated in letters read on the floor of the Senate by the President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday.
His resignation is to allow him focus on his job as chairman of the party.
