The candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) Chukuma Soludo has emerged as the winner of the Saturday, November 6 Governorship election in Anambra State.
Mr. Soludo won in 19 of the state’s 21 local government areas, as announced by the INEC in Awka, Anambra state.
The Chief Returning Officer of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Florence Obi announced the results on Wednesday morning around 1.15am
According to Prof. Obi a total of 241, 523 valid votes were recorded while 8,108 were rejected. The total number of registered votes were 2,466,638 and accredited voters— 253,388
Soludo, former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria secured a total vote of 112, 229 while Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress(APC) garnered 53,807 votes. Okezie of People Democratic Party (PDP) came a distant third by scoring 43, 285votes.
