Nnamdi Kanu Appears In Court For Trial

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra( IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu is in court .

A source confirmed that Kanu was brought into the federal high court in Abuja by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

”At about 1000hrs his Lordship came into the courtroom and the trial commences,” he said.

The federal government is charging the IPOB leader on a seven-count charge bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism.

All non -accredited Jousnlaist are not allowed near the court as there is the heavy presence of security including the Nigerian Army and officers of the Nigerian Police Force at every entrance to the court and streets leading to the court building.

In June, Kanu was arrested and brought to Nigeria to face trial after he jumped bail in 2017.
