As the oil giant Shell was holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM), in The Hague, Netherlands, the Corporate Accountability Participation and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA) has laid siege to its head office in Lagos to protest its abuse of the environment.
The protest by the organisation was to rouse the company and the Federal Government to their responsibilities of cleaning the environment, especially holding them to account for the climate crisis and the clean up of Ogoni area and for its years of degradation of its environment.
