Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Obadiah Mailafia today honoured the invitation from the Department of State Security (DSS.)

It is his third visit since he granted a controversial interview to a radio station alleging that a governor from the north is a commander of the book Haram sect.

Mailafia, who is also  a former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), arrived the DSS headquarters at about 11am. He was ushered into the premises of the agency by cheers from his supporters.

He told journalists before entering the DSS office that, “I am ready to perish for speaking the mind of millions of Nigerians over the incessant killings of innocent citizens going on presently in the country.

“I don’t know why I have been invited again this is the third time that they are inviting me to their office and I am honouring it.”

He observed that “there has not been any instances that warrant any crises in the country after the interview which I granted a radio station in Lagos.”
