Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and his wife Edith have tested positive for coronavirus.
The governor on his Facebook Page wrote, “My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well and continuing with our isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.”
The governor last week went into self-isolation with his family after one of his daughters tested positive for the virus.
Also, two top officials of the government had tested positive to the virus recently.
They include the Secretary to the State Government, Chiedu Ebie, and Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu.
About 965 of the confirmed cases have been recorded are in Delta State.
