Good day to all. With due permission from the family especially from the wife, Mrs. Victoria Oyebanji, I wish with sadness to inform the house of the health challenges being faced presently by a veteran sports broadcaster, Mr Akinloye Oyebanji (yours sincerely) of NTA sports.
Mr. Akinloye Oyebanji served NTA for 35 years in different capacities from Director Sports until his retirement as Director (MD of NTA properties. Sometimes, he had misfortune of losing his kidneys and replaced successfully through a transplant in India.
One of the side effects of kidney transplant is heart failure which he had experienced on two occasions and survived.
He is presently at the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, of the National Hospital, Abuja. He is required to be at the same hospital in India to survive and would need the sum of $25,000 (Twenty-five Thousand Dollars) for both transportation and treatment for himself and two caretakers.
On behalf of the family, I’m therefore appealing to FUBS members and spirited Nigerians to come to the aid of this industrous Nugerian who has given all to sports development in Nigeria and has served diligently his fatherland.
