Kano State Government has refuted the rumour making the round that President Muhammadu Buhari has intervened in the ongoing fracas between Gov Abdullahi Ganduje and the Emir of Kano, Muhamadu Sanusi II therefore urging the general public to disregard the report.

The Director General of the Media to Kano State Government, Aminu Yasir made this clarification while speaking with cool FM.

He said contrary to the report, it was Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chairman of Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi that convened the meeting in question in Abuja, not President Buhari as widely circulated.

Yasir further explained that even though part of the resolutions of the meeting was for the Governor and the Emir to sustain the usual mutual relationships between them, that would not stop the ongoing litigations on the matters arising in the State between the parties.

According to him, the ongoing case insituted by the Kano Emirate Council in respect of the newly created four emirate councils and that of the ongoing investigation by the state anti corruption agency in respect of the alleged N3.4bn misappropriation of fund against the Kano Emirate Council will be sustained
