The new Lagos State governor is Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu was sworn in today at 11.30a.m Nigeria time alongside his deputy Mr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat as the 15th governor of the state.
He was officially sworn in by the State Chief Judge, Justice Opeyemi Olufunmilayo Oke at the inuaguration ceremony held at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Onikan, Lagos Island.
He would steer the ship of governance for the next four years as he oversees the affairs of the state and govern over 21 million Lagosians.
Taking his oath of office, Governor Sanwo-Olu pledges to abide by the code of conduct in the 5th Schedule of the 1999 Constitution.
He was born on June 25, 1965 in Lagos to Pa Simon and Madam Omotunde.
