Outgoing Lagos State first lady, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, has told her incoming successor, Dr Ibijoke Sanwoolu, in equivocal terms to keep her feet on the ground and not get carried away by her new status.
This was contained in Mrs. Ambode’s advice to the wife of soon-to-be Lagos governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a medical doctor with Harvey Road Hospital, Yaba area of the state.
Ambode’s wife told the mother-of-four while handling over to her on Sunday at Ikeja, “My dear sister, the incoming first lady of our great state as you settle down to this office, I wish you all the best.
“Very importantly, learn to enjoy the journey you are about to embark upon.
“Always remember where you are going but never forget where you are coming from.
“I wish you good health, divine protection and guidance for great successes.”
