The timely intervention of men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State police command prevented a man from committing suicide in Lagos today.
The man, who was later found to be chartered accountant, had attempted to jump off the Third Mainland Bridge into the lagoon.
According to the RRS in a post on Facebook, it’s men who accosted the victim, whose Identity was not disclosed, later took him to the Adekunle police station in Yaba.
The post read: “This man, (name withheld) was prevented from jumping off Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagoon this morning.
“We had a little chat with him and he revealed that he’s a graduate and a chartered accountant.
“He was handed over to Adekunle Police Station, who contacted his family.”
