The authorities of the College of Education, Ikere-Ekiti said they have acted to the government white paper on the recommendations of the visitation panel by scrapping the non-existing positions of the Senior Deputy Registrars and Senior Deputy Bursar.
According to a release signed by the Acting Provost of the institution, Dr. Victor Segun Kehinde, those who occupy the non-exisitng positions have therefore been relieved of their appointment by the Governing Council by retiring them.
The institution’s authorities maintained that the services of its workforce are invaluable and strategic to the repositioning of the College for greater service delivery and would not unjustly sack any worker.
The College authorities also reiterated that the institution has enjoyed enormous support of the state government in improving its fortunes and therefore assured assured all staff of the institution of job security.
