President Muhammadu Buhari has found a replacement for Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris who is retiring from the service tomorrow.
It was learnt that the President made his choice today from a list of names of officers presented to him.
The chosen one, AIG Abubakar Adamu Mohammed who hails from Lafia in Nasarawa State, according to sources from the Presidency, would be announced tomorrow.
AIG Adamu was brought from the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), but sources at the Presidency said the official announcement would be made tommorow.
The new IGP was once a deputy commissioner of police in Ekiti State and he had served at the Interpol and the FCIID, Alagbon for some years before he became AIG.
