Business activities come into a halt in Iworoko Ekiti today, following the loss of lives to a trailer accident which occured at about 7pm Saturday, killing no fewer than 16 people.A dark clowd pervaded the air as angry indigenes bared their fangs, in protestr of the gory accident involving a trailer loaded with branded rice and a small commuter bus as a result of loss of brake by the former.

Sympathisers who spoke to Nigerian Current were bitter that rescue operation was poor as only the community people were on hand to render skeletal rescue service which was said tohave led to some preventable death.

The trailer driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle and rammed at a oncoming bus, killing all passengers onboard before descending on three shops, lwaving them as rubbles and killing the occupants.Three brothers of same parents were said to have lost their lives in the barber shopm including some women and children selling their waresatn the evening market where the sad event took place.

The trailer loaded with rice was said to have been heading to Akure, Ondo State from somewhere unknown before the heart rending accident occuredMeanwhile, all vehicles entering the ancient town are being diverted back while dwellers wore forlorn looks as they protest the death of their loved ones lost to the unfortunate accident
