Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has emerged from hiding after an eight-day siege to his Abuja residence by the police.
Melaye who is wanted over alleged attempted culpable homicide surrendered himself to the police few minutes ago.
Police authorities had alleged some persons in the senator’s entourage shot and injured a policemen, Sergeant Danjuma Saliu, in July 2018, while on duty in Kogi State.
Melaye was reportedly accompanied by his lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, and some of his colleagues to the office of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Guzape district, Abuja.
