A report making the rounds claimed a married woman, Mariam Abdul, allegedly a victim of Yahoo boys’ money ritual activities vomited cash in Warri area of Delta State.
Mariam, who is in her 20s and married to one Taye Adekunle lives with her hubby at Ogaga Street, Effurun in Uvwie council area.
Three weeks ago her panties hung on the wire at the residence compound were said to have developed wings. Foul play was suspected with accusing fingers pointed at suspected internet fraudsters better known as Yahoo boys, who are said to be in the habit of stealing female undies for money ritual purpose in the state.
On Saturday at about 3:45am while in bed, Mariam was reportedly behaving strangely, causing her husband to raise alarm with neighbours responding to the frantic call by rushing to the scene and met her vomiting N500 notes to their dismay.
Warri Area Commander of the Delta state police command, Alhaji Mohammed Shaba, confirmed the incident saying, “Today, according to the DPO (B’ Division), he received a distressed call this morning. That one Taye Adekunle of Ogaga Street Warri reported to B’Division that three weeks ago his wife, Mariam Abdul, washed two pants and a rapper and spread them outside their apartment. That the two pants and the rapper was stolen by unknown thieves.
“That Saturday 22nd December, his wife started experiencing strange spiritual attacks and then he invited a pastor and when he started praying for her, she started vomiting water including 14 pieces of N500 notes.
The victim had been taken to hospital but when they are done the case will be transfer to state CID.”
