Social media activist and blogger, Deji Adeyanju, has regained his freedom after spending eight days both in prison and police custody.
He may however be arraigned by the police on a fresh charge of promoting “terrorism” via social media today.
Reports said he was freed around 7pm on Monday from Keffi Prison, where he was remanded on the orders of a Karshi Magistrate Court last week.

After leaving the prison, he was reportedly interrogated at the Force Command Headquarters in Abuja, before he was allowed to go home.
His case was adjourned till 21 January next year.
The police had charged him and two others, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams, for posts that were considered defamatory and criminal.
He was arrested on November 28, 2018 while leading a protest to demand the neutrality of the police in the forthcoming general election.
