The ancient city of Benin, Edo State capital will host members of the National Air Traffic Communicators Association of Nigeria, NATCA, as it holds its Annual General Meeting/Conference on Friday.
Already, all is now set for the epochal event which would have in attendance the Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and the Managing Director of the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, NAMA, Capt Fola Akinkuotu.
.In a statement, the president of NACAN, Comrade Nkambo George said the conference for the year is unique with programmes painstakingly lined out to impact positive knowledge on participants and by extension the Nigerian aviation sector.
With the theme:’The Impact of AMHS /ATN on National Airspace Administration and Air Navigation Plan, the aviation communicators plan to touch on the intricacies of their department with a view to come up with fool proof resolutions on how to get the best for the aviation industry in the safety line.
Nkambo stated that the conference will also be used to explore solutions to the myriad of problems affecting the smooth operations of NACAN as spelt out in ICAO Annex 10 volume 11.
The conference scheduled to hold at Constantial Hotel and Suites, Benin City between Friday 26-Saturday 27 October 2018, will feature the Edo governor, Obaseki, as the Special Guest of Honour while the NAMA boss, Akinkuotu will be the Chief Host. Mr S O Ekunwe will chair the conference.
Others expected at the occasion, include Engr Amiolemen Osahon Abraham, Commissioner, Ministry of Infrastructure, Edo State while paper will be presented by Engr Adeyinka Osunwusi.
The ceremony will be rounded off with the election of new set of executives to steer the affairs of the association in the next three years.
