A middle age man simply identified as Sunday has killed the Onise of Odo-Oro in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Oba Gbadebo Ibiloye Ogunsakin.
Reports say, the incident happened around noon on, Monday as the traditional ruler was walking back to his residence from the palace where he had a weekly meeting with traditional chiefs in the community,
It was reported that the young man approached him and stabbed him to death in the process.
According to the community source the killer is a mentally-unstable man who incidentally hailed from one of the royal houses in the town, and had been a terror in the community.

The state police public relations officer, Caleb Ikechukwu has confirmed the incident.
He said the police have started a manhunt for the killer.
