Former aide to the former Ekiti State Governor Segun Oni, Bunmi Ojo, has been shot dead by someone believed to be a hired assassin.
Bunmi Ojo, was reportedly shot in the head at a very close range in Ado-Ekiti, Friday evening.
Ojo, who was a popular APC member in the state, a Personal Assistant (PA) to former Governor Segun Oni and also former Commissioner at the Federal Character Commission, was watching a football match at a popular viewing centre along Adebayo road, (Dubai), when he was attacked by the gunman.
Eye witness account claimed that the assailant aimed his gun at Ojo’s head through a window and released the trigger.
Ojo was from Ido-Osi local government area, same as former Governor Segun Oni. He ia also a close friend of Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, husband of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s daughter, Sade, who is from Erijinyan in Ekiti West local government area.
