A 45-year old man, Julius Ochim, is currently cooling his heels in police net for allegedly impregnating his daughter.
According to the Ogun State Police Command who carried out Ochim’s arrest, the daughter eventually carried the pregnancy for nine months and subsequently had a baby girl for him.
The suspect was said to have been arrested following a complaint by his daughter, who reported the father at the Sagamu Police Division.
It was gathered that the victim told the police that her father had been having sex with her for over eight years.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest said that the father “started having illegal carnal knowledge of his daughter shortly after the death of her mother (who was his wife) in 2009.”
Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the victim also told the police that she got pregnant for her father and gave birth to a baby girl for him three years ago.
