The Director-General of Ekith Rebirth Organisation(ERO) Ranti Adebisi says his principal Senator Bbafemi Ojodu did not grant any interview to slight Dr. Kayode Fayemi, All Progressive Congress(APC)governorship candidate in Ekiti state.
The full statement reads:
The attention of the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has been drawn to reports in the social media that Ojudu granted an interview on Television Continental (TVC), to disparage the candidate of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr John Kayode Fayemi. Nothing can be farther from the truth.
The architects of this wicked rumour , in their desperation to cause intra-party disaffection and disharmony ahead of the July 14thgovernorship election in Ekiti State, alleged that Ojudu casted aspersions on Dr Fayemi and some party leadership in the phantom interview. The balloon goes up with the tactless claim that the presidential aide, an unwavering party man, said his party, the APC, would fail in the coming governorship election.
We want to state categorically that at no time did Ojudu granted such interview with any television station or media house for that matter. Infact, Ojudu has not granted any interview to any media house since the conclusion of the Ekiti APC governorship primaries. We challenge whoever is behind the ungodly blackmail to come up with clips of the purported interview as proof since there cannot be an aired interview with no clip.
By this release, we are setting the record straight that the purported interview is a figment of the imagination of a very mischievous mind, mounting effort to distract, cause disaffection, pollute and fracture our party, the APC, as we go to the polls to restore the glory of our dear state soon. The subterfuge has however, failed woefully.
Senator Babafemi Ojudu remains a staunch, dogged, committed and unbending member of the Nigerian progressive politicians with impeccable record of stability and dedication from the Alliance for Democracy, AD, to Action Congress, AC, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and now the APC.
As a loyal party man, Ojudu has declared his support and that of his loyalists to the party’s candidate for Dr. Fayemi and he is working with other party leaders to ensure an APC victory come July 14th.
Together we shall build a stronger Ekiti State where prosperity, peace, equity and normalcy take over from poverty, chaos and leadership ineptitudes.
