Uche Agbai, a radio presenter better known as Sensei Uche, has announced that his time with City 105.1 FM has come to an end.
In a statement sent to TheCable Lifestyle, Uche said he is moving on to the next phase of his career.
“An end to a super educational, fun, interesting & blessed ride. In life, there are times and seasons, beginnings and ends, start and stops, ups and downs, good and bad. And sometimes, the timing isn’t perfect,” he said.
“The most important thing is being able to discern the season and the steps to take in it. Today I would like you all to know that my six year run with City105.1 FM has come to an end.
“But I pray that the relationships that I have built with every single person in the family last forever.
“I want to thank the board of directors for making me a part of the brand from inception, the M.D. CEO, Adedoja Allen for being a friend and helper in every sense of the word, the management and entire staff for their love towards me.
“To say that I had fun with CityFm is an understatement. And I am proud to be associated with the brand and all its accomplishments.
“To every single listener, fan and the audience of mine during my time at CityFm, I say thank you. Thank you for allowing me share my high and low moments, my energy, my ideas and my desire for a better Nigeria with you.
“Without you, I would be nobody. To every single guest that came on the show to share their craft and honour me with their presence, thank you.
“To all the brands that were a part of the show and bought into the brand SenseiUche, I say thank you. I ask for your support as I begin a new phase in my life and career today.
“There’s so much more to come in the near future, so brace yourself. I’ve only just begun.”
Uche was diagnosed with stage three nasal lymphoma in 2017.
