The 2018 edition of the Airports Council International (ACI) conference will draw xperts from across the world to brainstorm on issues bothering on Innovation in airport business, usiness innovation in airport retail, The future of airport tax free shops, Technology to upport business transformation, Transformation in practice, amongst others.
Engr. Saleh Dunoma, Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, who announced the development in his keynote address during a pre-event press conference held on Monday by the authority, also noted that the hosting of the event will be of immense benefit primarily to FAAN and ultimately to the sector and Nigeria as a nation.
The pre-event press conference, which was aimed at intimating the media community and other stakeholders about the forthcoming conference, was also attended by directors from the Authority, gentlemen and ladies of the media and other stakeholders.
At the event, the 2018 ACI Conference logo was also unveiled by Engr. Dunoma, who also doubles as the President, ACI Africa.
According to a statement signed by Mrs. Yakubu Henrietta, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, this year’s ACI, Africa Board and Regional Committees Meetings, Conference & Exhibition is the 59th edition of its kind, with the theme,”Business Transformation for Sustainable Airport”, and it comes up in Lagos, Nigeria from April 14 to 20, 2018.
In his highlights on the direct benefits accruable from the conference, the Engr. Dunoma stated that over 300 delegates, including investors, would be converging in Lagos for this event.
“The guests will pass through airports in Nigeria, pay visa fees to the Nigerian Immigration services, stay in various hotels and visit different historical sites before they depart,” the FAAN MD added.
Also expected at the ACI 2018 conference is Dr. Bernard Aliu Council President of ICAO, among other prominent aviation dignitires.
