Senate President Bukola Saraki boarded a commercial flight belonging to Arik Air on his way to Ghana on Sunday.
This drew some reactions on social media, with some praising the “modesty” displayed by Nigeria’s number three citizen.
Dignitaries on such assignments usually fly presidential or private jets.
The senate president is expected to address lawmakers of the neighbouring country on the commemoration of their parliament’s celebration of 25 years of uninterrupted democracy.
Saraki, who was accompanied by some of his colleagues, will speak on “The Future of Good Governance in Africa”.
