Former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti state, Mr Tope Aluko, says he has returned to his political home, which is the camp of Governor Ayodele Fayose.
“I wish to reiterate that I have since returned to the political family of Governor Fayose and this I have done without apology to anyone. As from now, it is Fayose leads, I follow,” Aluko told reporters in Ekiti on Wednesday.
The former PDP Secretary had appeared on a number of media programmes over a prolonged disagreement with Fayose, with the story of how he allegedly supported the governor in 2014, in a purported misuse of military force to win the election that returned Fayose into the office for second term.
He, however, described the previous issues as past events, saying he now aligns totally with his political godfather, Governor Fayose.
Aluko said he has parted ways with the political actors who misguided him and consequently returned home to support every political step of his godfather.
He also faulted the ambitions of some political stakeholders in the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are aspiring to contest the July governorship election in the state.
The returnee said as, for him, he has returned home like a repentant servant while the governor has embraced him.
