The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Khana/Gokana federal constituency, Maurice Pronem, has been declared winner of Saturday’s rerun exercise.
INEC Returning Oficer , G.O Osuagwu, announced the result on Sunday afternoon.
He said Pronem polled 68,219 votes ahead of Dumnamene Dekor, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 20,329 votes.
Meanwhile , Okwulehie Ikechukwu, returning officer of Okrika Ogu/Bolo federal constituency of Rivers state has declared Gogo Tamuno of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the election in the area.
Tamuno polled a total of 11,668 votes to defeat Maureen Tamuno of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 5,995 votes.
